The Product: Smashbox photo finish primer 

Claim to fame: This primer has lead the market in primer sales. With everyone trying to copy this one, it still holds first place. It is a silky feeling, lightweight blend of vitamins A & E, grape seed extract and green tea. It helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and large pores. It is oil free and it helps your makeup stay on longer and not blotch. It is the winner of several awards: Best of Sephora Award for Best Primer, one of Marie Claire's "25 Products that will change your life", and an Instyle Best Beauty Buy.
IngredientsCyclomethicone, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Water, Grape Seed Extract, Kolanut Seed Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract
Pros: A light weight texture that is oil free. Does not clog the pores. Allows makeup to glide on. Makes you use less makeup and has skin care benefits to it.
Cons: A body primer would be nice...... be they might be coming out with one ;)
The bottom line: Well worth the splurge! Makes any makeup go on nicely. Feels great.

I really need a good primer like this, I just got a stippling brush the other day and it made my makeup look so nice. I bet with this primer I would be amazed.

hello.. :) Since you're a Smashbox make-up artist, I wanna ask you about the Softlights in Prism. I swatched it on my hand last time and it looked really pretty. Are you supposed to apply it as a blush or highlighter? I wanted to use it as a blush but you think it will show up? I'm an NC25 if that helps! thanks :)

Hey Clara~ sorry for getting back o you so late! Just saw your comment now! Prism is really pretty. It is meant to be a highlight however if it does show on your skin as a blush, use it as one! It may be very light though. tint would look great on your skin tone. try blush rush in flush or chiffon!
