KnoW.to.LoVe.-BraNd.SpotLight. - SmashboX.

Introduction and Company history
Smashbox is like the little train that could. And boy did it! It all started not too long ago, unlike most successful makeup brands; Smashbox started with two brothers who had a dream. These brothers are know as the ambassadors of style and the great grandsons of the renown Max Factor. They joined forces and talents to create a makeup brand that could compete with brands such as Lancome, Maybelline or Estee Lauder.
The first of the brothers is Dean Factor(CEO & Co founder of Smashbox enterprises); he is a business man(the brains) with a MBA from the University of Southern California. And the other brother is Davis Factor(CCO(Chief Creative Officer) & Co founder of Smashbox enterprises); he is the celebrity and fashion photographer(the creative part) with experience ranging from working with J.Lo to Vanity fair magazine to Vogue to Allure.
Smashbox as a photo studios started in 1991, however the cosmetics line started in 1996. The birth of the line started with a relationship that Davis had with the celebrity makeup artists that he had working with him in the Smashbox studios. They constantly had starlets passing through the studios daily. The idea behind the line was to dispel hollywood secrets and allow any woman to feel glamourous. With the two brothers being asked constantly to create a makeup line that could last during a photo shoot, Smashbox was born!

Company today
Smashbox currently is the number one selling colour cosmetics line. With innovative technology and exclusive ideas, the brand is excelling. It is an international sensation, available all over the world. All of the artists, celebrities, models and photographers of the smashbox studios are sought after in the beauty industry.
The company truly is unique and wonderful at the same time. I highly recommend trying anything from the line if you have not already.
Another exciting and important thing has happened for Smashbox:
"The Estée Lauder Companies is the ideal home for Smashbox.” -Dean Factor
Yes it is true. Estee Lauder has added Smashbox cosmetics to its portfolio. Lauder plans to broaden the distribution of Smashbox as well as well as boost the brand.

What the company has to offer
Smashbox has a lot to offer. From professional quality products that provide beautiful results and cater to all walks of women, from the beginner to the expert. They are constantly releasing quality products and not just remakes or redos of previous launches.
It also is a brand that states that they don't even like to keep secrets. If you want to know, they will tell you. They offer also offer products at reasonable prices; they are not a company that looks to get much profit. The prices are for the quality and the ingredients. Basically you are not paying marked up prices.
Something important to to me as well that I love about Smashbox is that they offer products that are guaranteed  not tested on animals AT ALL! Meaning that the ingredients are not tested by other companies and then sold to Smashbox. 3% from each product is actually donated to PETA and various charities.
The brand also goes as far as having recyclable packaging and the brushes are of top quality.
