ProduCt.ReViEw. -L'orEaL.StuDio.Secret.ProfessiOnaL.PerfecTing.BasE.

The product: L'oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base
Claim to fame: A primer that promises to provide instant smoothing results. Resulting in perfect skin texture, instantly and all day by gliding onto the skin and minimizing the look of pores and fine lines. The skin is left with a unified matte finish. It has a high elastomer content, which gives the primer its unique, cushiony texture.  For all skin types, Dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. 100% oil and fragrance free.
Ingredients: cyclohexasiloxane, dimethicone, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, silica, acrylates copolymer, disodium stearoyl glutamate, aluminum hydroxide { /- may contain CI 77891/ titanium dioxide/ CI 77491/ iron oxides} FIL D30587/2
Pros: No smell and oil free. Leaves the skin smooth and the skin looks pore free. Lasts all day.
Cons: Thick sticky texture. Starts white then blends to clear. Small quantity. Pot/jar packaging is kind of annoying and unsanitary as you have to dip your fingers in every time. Comes with no spatula.
The bottom line: A great primer if you don't mind the jar and the thickness of it. It works great on its own as well to hide pores and mattify. I quite like this product.
Price: $17.49CDN
Rating: 4/5

They had a sample display at my local Target. It's not the most sanitary primer, but it made the back of my hand feel like silk! It blended seemlessly. My likey!
