Who are you?My name is Maricela AKA Miss Krimson and I am a 23 year old Mexican/Spanish and Chinese girl.
How did you get into cosmetics?
Ever hear the saying "born to do this"? That'd be me! Ever since I was a child I loved cosmetics, however two things stopped me from my passion. Money: I grew up in a less then middle class family. For sure money was not spent on makeup. And lack of confidence: i never believed I could do anything. So up until my second year in high school I was pretty much a "tomboy".
Did you go to school for makeup?Yes I did. I graduated with Distinction from John Casablancas Institute in The Makeup Artistry Diploma Program. As well as I regularly attend classes to educate me on brands and ingredients.
Have you worked in the beauty industry?
Yes I have and still am. I have been in the industry for 6 years now. My first job in the beauty industry was an Consultant at a Bridal Salon. I went from there to working in department stores to a spa and now I work as a Beauty Expert in a Cosmetics Store in a popular mall in Canada. I also work for Smashbox Cosmetics as a Makeup Artist.
How do you make your swatches?
My swatches are done on bare, dry skin with no primer.
Do you edit your photos?
No and yes. I do not edit anything about my photos as far as colour. I do crop and rotate my photos as well as I add my blog name on the photo. Sometimes I add decorations.
What is your skin tone?
I have medium, olive skin.
What is your skin type?
My skin has made a drastic change over the past few years. I use to be extremely acne prone and oily. I am now thankfully normal to oily with the occasional breakout.
Do you make money from this blog?
Nope! With all the time, money and passion I put into it, I wish I would be paid for it.
