REQUESTED: Tropical Seduction - Turquoise, Purple and Brown

Oh my, my lovely followers, I am sooooo sorry for the lack of posts. I did try and post this about a week ago however, blogger went down and deleted my post....twice. 
Thank you for holding on with me and being patient. This month really has been crazy for me, and as the summer nears, I really don't think that it's going to stop anytime soon.
So this look was requested and named by one of my fans who requested this look on my facebook page. 

At first, I honestly did not like it on myself, but quickly fell in love with it. I received many compliments all day about it.
I tried to use as much drugstore brands as I could. 


Another point that I wanted to bring up was that I may not be doing video tutorials for a while because recently I knocked myself right above my eye and as a result, I have bruised eye. It is really purple at the moment, so please be patient with me, I will have a tutorial filmed and up asap. 
I already have so many ideas.

FOTD: Angel Eyes: Silver and Blue

Friday night and I am back again with another look ! I created this look the other day... purely out of boredom and creativity.... I wanted to use colours that I don't usually use.. so I decided to go with silver, baby blue and royal blue. 
I think it turned out pretty great. I really fell in love with this look, I wish I had somewhere to wear it to that day. 
What are your plans for the weekend? For myself, I have a few birthday and farewell parties to attend. I did have to work today. Glad I did, it was great!

FOTD: YSL Inspired Spring look - Easter colours

Evening. How has your week been so far? Happy Hump day... and Happy 420 to those who celebrate it (I do NOT! as I do not smoke.... however I love how everyone was in a great mood today!) haha. 
Today I wanted to show you a look that I created a few days ago. I decided to film the look.... I hope that you can check it out :) 

The look was created from an inspirational photo of YSL's Spring 2009 makeup look. I wanted originally to do a look inspired by Easter... as it is just around the corner... and I really liked the colours of this photo, so I thought that they would fit perfectly :)

For those of you wondering, and keeping up with my busy life.. the ABA hair show went well! The hairstylist(who is award winning :) ) really liked the makeup I did. The photo shoot however, that I was suppose to do yesterday was postponed as the photographer was sick :( 
I did however get two more job offers, so all is well!

FOTD: Bare & Shu Uemura - 'Mystic Nature' Competition Entry

Evening darlings! How was your weekend? This weekend for me was quite.. uneventful... well as far as any partying went(which tends to happen every weekend at my house). I just worked and then worked on my latest video, which is was not a tutorial at all, but still the same, very important to me.
I wanted to share two things with you, first being my look for this weekend(above photos). Yup, thats right, this weekend I went pretty bare with my makeup. Fresh faced, some eyeliner and lashes. I know some may say that the lashes aren't 'bare' or 'natural' but to me they totally are, as I wear little to no mascara. 
Secondly, I wanted to share with you my Introduction video that I entered with my entry to the Shu Uemura 'Mystic Nature' Competition.

 This competition is to become the National Makeup artist for Shu Uemura. I really want to win... the top 20 finalists will be announced on the 13th(xXxFINGERS CROSSEDxXx) and if I do by some miracle make it to the top 20, I do need help from you all! FOTD/EOTD: geeK-IS-Sexy

TGIF.... like seriously. I am so happy that the weekend is here. Even though I do have to work this weekend, I am just happy that it is here. This is a look that I pulled together the other day.. I'm not sure why I didn't take any photos with the glasses off.. I guess I was having too much fun with them. I'm not sure you can see the makeup very well, it is a purple smokey eye with red eyeliner on the bottom lash line. . I also curled my hair... and I guess while I was curling my hair, I saw these glasses just laying there(they are from my boyfriends halloween costume) and I put them on as I curled my hair.. haha.. anyways I thought it was cute and took a few photos. 
Honestly though, I am a true geek at heart! I am a total knowledge junkie if that makes sense.....

Ocean Waves: Turquoise and Royal Blue eyeshadow tutorial

What an awesome weekend that was for me.... I hope you all had a great one as well.... here we are back to the work week.... 
I did this look this Friday when I went out with my friends and I filmed me doing it... so here is a tutorial.. It was totally inspired by the ocean... which I was thinking about, after the sunny day we had here in Vancouver, I was thinking about the beach... and so why not something inspired by the ocean! 
Turquoise is definitely one of my favourite colours.. So I absolutely adore this look.... Let me know what you think about it?

Lime Grape: Green and Purple eyeshadow tutorial

R-r-r-rrrrreeeeplay..... Does this look familiar? Well if it does, it's because I posted this look at the end of february.. I received so many compliments on the look and I also saw one of my favourite Youtube Guru's (Petrilude) post a pic of himself with similar makeup not too long after my post and was inspired to do a video tutorial of the look. This has to be one of my favourite colour combinations by far. I personally think it looks great! 
I used a combination of 'unnamed' eyeshadows, Dior and MAC shadows to create this look.
This look would be great for St. Patrick's Day because it has green in it but has a twist to it!

A little camera whoring :)

EOTD: The weekEND

I have nothing interesting to post about today... unfortunately. If anyone cares, I could let you know how my day went. I had intended to post something other then this today but honestly the day got filled with other things. 
I have a few photos of the past few days to share with you. They aren't the best, but they give you an idea of the makeup I wore.

Friday - although this photo doesn't show it. This shadow is actually a light blue-grey and dark grey shadow. When combined a purple like tone came out.... I also defined my eyebrows with brow powder.. which I NEVER do... what do you think?

Saturday - I had the day off, so I decided to wear my 'everyday' kind of makeup. Winged black liner and lashes, foundation and blush. I have nothing on my lips, even though in this pic I look like I do have something on there... it's just the lighting.














Sunday - Back to work. I played around with some new shadows I got from Lancome. I think they are discontinued but they are new to me! I used a matte pink and a dark grey shadow. I unfortunately did not get a good photo of the makeup but I received many compliments on this look. Even requests for a tutorial.... maybe this one will be on the way....

EOTD: Trendy HUMID Sketch

Odd title no? Just some names of the shadows I used....
Good evening all! I wanted to share with you the makeup that I wore today, really quickly... I wore this look to work today. Was really bored all day and wanted to have some fun with my makeup. I just opened my eyeshadow drawer(yes I do have a WHOLE drawer, almost two of eyeshadow) and took out random shadows and came up with this pretty look.

I got many compliments on it..... 
this little girl(like 5 years old) came into my store today and was like "ummm excuse me?"
"yes"
"you're pretty!"
hehe soo cute.... and so many customers and random train riders commented on how nice it looked too..maybe I need to do a tutorial? I used shadows from Lancome, Smashbox, Maybelline and MAC to create this look.

EOTD: Barbie loves MAC inspired makeup tutorial

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I had an awesome one! Almost 7 years with the man and he still gives me butterflies in my stomach <3

I was looking at makeup looks and I came across the Barbie loves MAC collection and thought I wanted to do that look that day. I also decided I wanted to film it, and so this explains this post!

EOTD/FOTD - Rihanna "Who's that chick?" inspired

Hey everyone! How's the weekend so far? Mine has been pretty awesome :) Went to work last night and then came home to find a house full of friends over for a pot luck dinner. And thankfully today I didn't have to work after all :) For today I wanted to show you my makeup that I wore yesterday. If you recognize it(which would be awesome, but the title of this post gives it away), it would be because I tried to replicate Rihanna's makeup in her music video "Who's that chick?". Definitely after applying it, I wondered if I would get many stares...however I had lots of jaw drops and remarks like "WOW... that's awesome... makeup!". I love doing cut crease eyeshadow, however I find it sooo dramatic for day! I hope you all have an awesome weekend! And I hope you enjoyed this makeup. I really wanted to do a tutorial of it.... I do need a better camera though..talk to you soon!
