ProduCt.ReViEw.- Revlon Crazy Shine - Nail Buffer

Revlon Crazy Shine - Nail Buffer

What Revlon has to say: "Revolutionary nail buffer creates 400% more shine than bare nails. Buff nails to a topcoat shine in a matter of seconds…results that last for 3 days."
Made of foam
- Tear drop shape makes buffing easy
- Only two sided, so it is super simple to use : 1st use to green side to buff your nail and then the white side to smooth the nail and add shine
- Gives the nails the appearance of a top coat
- Simple to use
- Fast solution
-Inexpensive

- This buffer has a limited lifespan, as the green side is used, the surface grit wears off
- The claim of 3 days of shine surely did not last for me, no longer then a day and a half. Maybe 2 days, but surely not 3
- It is a bit awkward to buff the whole nail evenly, therefore making it difficult to get shine on the whole nail

This is a great product for someone who is maybe not so patient or good about applying top coat. Or great for someone who is in a hurry but needs polished looking nails. Also great for someone who does not like product on their nails but wants nice looking nails. I personally would probably not purchase this again. At the price though, it won't hurt your wallet too much

$3-6CAD or Buy it on Well.ca for $5.49(non-sponsored)

February Favourites: a first

Evening all!
So I am not really one to do "favourites" as you probably have noticed, this is my first of this series. I don't even know if anyone would be interested in what I am favouring for the month... but here goes.
First up is Schwarzkopf got2b smooth operator smoothing hairspray - This has to be the CHEAPEST(as in price) hairsprays that I have bought ever, yet it is one of the only ones that I like! I love it because it does smooth my hair, while leaving it super manageable. Another thing I like about it is the smell. I know. You are not suppose to inhale hairspray but while trapped in a cloud of it while styling, at least this one smells nice. $6.99CAD(ON SALE: $3.99CAD)

Over the past maybe 10 years I have had to deal with acne, and I can finally say that I found something that helps! When I first started this blog I think I did my second post(I don't think anyone read it) about Tanda. What is Tanda? A blue light therapy for acne; basically it kills that p.acne bacteria on the skin which causes acne.
So why am I featuring it for my February Favourites? Well this month I have had many pimples appear out of "no where" and this little baby has saved me once again. (I wasn't using it for about a month, guess that taught me!) $250CAD/6000 treatments

Here is another favourite for my hair. Nexxus HEAT PROTEXX- Heat protection styling spray; this lovely spray has literally saved my hair from death!
I tend to curl and straighten my hair quite regularly(every other day) and all this has caused damage to my hair. Thankfully I have noticed a difference when using this baby. It does not smell bad when heated, it does not feel sticky and you can literally not feel it in the hair at all. On top of that, it hydrates the hair, leaving it shiny and smooth. $11.99CAD.

Revlon Custom eyes mascara - I am VERY picky with my choice in mascaras. I actually tend to use false lashes every day.
The reason I am featuring this mascara is because it has been the best mascara I have found to work with false lashes. It does not clump or flake. The brush is super flexible and is plainly awesome! $8.99-$10.99CAD

Lise Watier Metamorfix liquid transformer - This has to be one of my favourite products. It is awesome to help shadows with little pigment become more pigmented. It makes any powder into liquid, any eyeshadow into a liner or liquid eyeshadow. And on top of that, it makes the product last longer.

EOS lip balm 'summer fruit' - I love this lip balm(as does everyone who tries it). I love the shape, smell, taste, size, EVERYTHING about it! Just try it... believe me.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you thought of them! Are you going to try any of these?

Jessica Alba Revlon Topspeed inspired makeup tutorial

Hey everyone! Hope you are having an awesome weekend so far. It has been beautiful weather here in Vancouver this weekend and I am quite grateful! It definitely uplifts my mood.
I recorded a video the other day of a look you may have seen before here on my blog. I recreated the Revlon Topspeed Ad that featured Jessica Alba. I wanted to recreate this look again because I love the eye makeup so much. Plus I now have a Youtube account, so I recorded a video tutorial.
I would not normally wear red lipstick with this eye makeup but I decided to do it to recreated the look. I would probably wear this with a nude lipstick. Check it out and let me know what you think! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jessica Alba Revlon Colorburst ad inspired makeup

What an awkward day it has been... in terms of the weather anyways. I didn't go out today, as you can see, I shot a video and edited it. The weather here in Vancouver started out nice and sunny and switched to cloudy and back to sunny and then back to cloudy. Anyways, it's night time now and all I have to say is, at least it isn't raining.
How was your tuesday?
As for this look, this is what I chose to wear today, I shot the video of it, even though it is quite a simple look. I was inspired by Jessica Albas Revlon ad for Colorburst lipgloss. She looks stunning, even with little makeup on. Of course the focus was the lips because it was for a lipgloss!! Anyways I didn't end up using the colourburst lipgloss for this video....haha....oh well. Hope you enjoy. And sorry for all the photos.... I was bored :S

My morning with Revlon and Almay

Evening lovelies,
So this morning I attended the Revlon and Almay training seminar for 2011, here in Vancouver. It was a short session, but jam packed full of information about the new products for both Revlon and Almay.
I wanted to share with you the goodies I received from the training(I will try and review all these products, so I can give you more info about each there! and ps. yes, I did receive a lipgloss! for those of you who know I am on gloss out 2011....
Here are some photos of them closer, enjoy! And if you have tried any of these products, definitely let me know what you thought of them!!!
I received almost everything to do a full face of makeup! Maybe I should do a tutorial using these.....hmmmmm...now to find some time! :)

EOTD: Purple haZe.daZe and Revlon top speed makeup remake

My collection for you today is of my eye makeup for yesterday and today. First of is yesterday's. I saw my Dior eyeshadow palette of 4 shades of purples and 1 black and I was inspired by it. Of course I added my favourite winged liner and lashes!

My second look for today was inspired by the Revlon top speed nail enamel advertisement with Jessica Alba(see below for reference). I was drawn to the silver and black smokey eye. And of course I love the fact that she has brown eyes, so I knew this look would look alright on me. I also was happy that I had the perfect palette to complete this look from Smashbox called twilight. And I had the right red lipstick as well..... check my remake out.
