QuEstiOn.oF.tHe.Day.aNd.My Brush Collection

I find it funny sometimes, well maybe not funny, but interesting when I find myself in front of a customer who asks me if it is REALLY necessary to use brushes to apply makeup.
Of course, there is no 'Right' way to put on makeup, but I think that brushes make ALL the difference in application.
Now of course this excludes those amazing artists who can apply beautiful makeup with just their fingers or a cotton swab. But, for myself I need brushes!
This post would not be complete if I did not have a picture of my brush collection.... well here is most of it.... I'm pretty sure I have more hiding somewhere.
It's a lot, but really it's not a lot to me, as an artist.
Looking at my brushes I thought to myself, first, I have a lot of the same brushes. And second, I tend to stick to the same few brands of brushes. I have brushes from Smashbox, Coverfx, Dior, Pur minerals, Bare Minerals, Quo and good old Dollar store brushes(mainly for special effects makeup). My favourite are the first three.
So, the purpose of this post really is to show you my brush collection and to ask you a few questions:
1. Do you use makeup brushes? or use your fingers/cotton swabs?
2. Which brand(s) of brush are your favourite?

CoverFX Eyeprep FX - anti aging smoothing primer

An innovative cosmeceutical eye smoothing formula with clinically proven anti aging benefits. It is a silicone free, light weight primer to be worn alone or under eye makeup.
What it does:
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ... It helps to bind concealer and eye shadows to the eye lids an eye area for an even, colour true and long lasting wear.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ...It instantly soothes, hydrates and helps reduce under eye puffiness.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ...Istrengthens the eye dermal structure to hydrate, firm and rejuvenate.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ...It increase circulation to lighten dark under eye circles.

Haloxyl ~ How Haloxyl works is by literally loosening the blood fragments which populate under the skin in the eye area. Loose particles like these are actually small fragments of blood that leak out from capillaries. These are the exact cause of dark circles under the eyes. When an eye serum uses Haloxyl at the right concentration, it works to flush out that pigmented blood with each application.
Eyeliss ~ Eyeliss is an ingredient that works to treat the puffy bags under the eyes. Under-eye bags are causd due to the fluid that passes through your capillary walls as well as lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage promotes a healthy lymphatic system.
Aqua, Glycerin, Diethylhexyl Carbonate, Squalane, Acrylates Copolymer, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Behenyl Alcohol,  Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Acrylic Acid/VP Crosspolymer.Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine, Capryly Glycol, Cetyl Alcohol, Lauryl Alcohol, Lecithin, Myristyl Alcohol, Steareth-20, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, PVP/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester, Hydrolyzed Sesame Protein PG-Propyl, Methylsilanediol, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Dipeptide-2, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide

I like this primer because you can use it as an eye cream, either day or night. I also like it because you can use it under the eye area under concealer to help prevent creasing and also make it so you don't have to use as much concealer.

Has no immediate colour correcting benefits.

I received a full size as a trial and I definitely will purchase this one again. For the size, quality and functionality, it is definitely worth every penny!

$43CAD/20ml(0.67 fl.oz) (holy! this is larger then an eye cream)

Training Haul >> CoverFX..La Roche Posay..NUXE

If you follow me regularly, you will know that I work in the cosmetics industry. And as a part of my job I often attend training seminars. These seminars are meant to educate us on what's new in the industry and on current products. I love to attend the seminars because I love to learn all about the technologies and ingredients of products. As an added perk, we receive free product to try. I mean how else are we going to sell something unless we try it! So the other day I wento the NUXE and CoverFX seminars.....why do I have La Roche posay products too? Well my lovely friend decided to give me two products she received from the seminar! SWEET!
Here's a list of what I got:
From CoverFX >> Eye prepfx, Skin Prep Primer, Concelfx concealer
From La Roche Posay >> Physiological Shower Gel, Hydraphase Intense Light moisturizer
From NUXE >> 24hr Moisturizing Anti fatigue Concentrate(Serum) Reve de Miel Hand and nail cream

So my questions are... have you tried any of these? What did you think of them? If not.... do you want a review of any of them?
