NOTD: Lilacism MOD SQUAD craCKLe

If you read my post yesterday, then you know that I purchased the black crackle polish from China Glaze. I got it for $5.25CAD and didn't know if I would like it that much on myself. And you know what? It's growing on me. I had a little fun with the colours underneath. 






I combined: Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI fast dry - 28 Mint Sprint, Essie - 589 Mod Squad, L'oreal - 345 Purple Pop, L'oreal - 262 Fanatic Fuschia, Essie - 705 Lilacism, OPI - No Room For The Blues
I topped those up with a coat of China Glaze Crackle 980 Black Mesh and 3 coats Seche Vite Dry fast top coat.

What do you think of this colour combo? Do you like the look of crackle polishes?

Dior Spring 2011 Nail Lacquers

Happy Hump day everyone! Hope your week is awesome so far. Today, I have a quick post to show you my nails for today. I alternated each nail with two colours, the Dior Spring colours, 707 and 108. I actually really like the brush for the nail polishes, they are so easy to use! I found the 707 went on awesome, only need two coats, however the pink 108, I had to use 4 coats!

Have you tried any polishes from Dior? What did you think?

NOTD: PurpleHeart

I picked up a few polishes from GOSH the other day, and this was one of them. I was really excited for the colour/effect of the polish, since it looks so cool in the bottle. However, to my disappointment, the pay off was definitely not what I expected. In the bottle it looked to be a deep purple with a reflection of green and different colours. However, as you can see from the photo, the polish is simply, a deep purple. Good thing, that I like purple polishes...! What do you think? Have you tried this polish? 

EOTD/NOTD

Hello my lovely followers! How are you? Here we are again, the middle of the week... the last week that is of the year! Are you ready for 2011? I sure am! I cannot wait for this year to end.. and a whole new one start... I hope for the best in the new year for all my lovely followers..for today I have an EOTD that I did two days ago. I used all Smashbox eyeshadows. I created a simple blue smokey eye by using cream  eyeliner in navy blue and blending dark blues eyeshadow over top. My NOTD is of a new nail polish I got yesterday from GOSH. It is called "555 silver". I hope you enjoyed these pictures and I'll see you in my next post! EOTD and NOTD: Wear Purple To Commemorate The Suicides Caused By Homophobia

This is what I decided to wear today. I chose to wear purple to show my respects to those who have recently chosen to take their own lives because of homophobia and bullying. My heart goes out to the family and friends of all of them.

I would however like to tell all those out there who feel alone and down, that your are not alone and there are people in this world who care about you!

I myself am not gay, however I do have many friends who are and I love them oh so much! Do not change who you are one bit... not for no one!

I also decided to paint my nails the colours on the pride flag.

NOTD- silverDOTblack

My nails for today are silver and black dotted. I got the inspiration from my bird ring. It was fairly easy to do. All I did was painted my nails a solid colour and took a pen dipped in the other colour and dotted randomly on my nails. I switched colours on my ring finger on my left hand and my thumb on my right hand.

I have three coats of the silver polish on my nails and only one of the black. and applied OPI top coat over top.

Lost Files: EOTD/FOTD/NOTD

I was looking over some photos earlier and came across some photos that I haven't posted, of some eye makeup and nail polish. They kinda got lost in the mix. So this is just a quick post to show them and quickly mention what I used. Hope you enjoy!

First up we have a NOTD using my favourite colour purple. This particular colour is Nicole by OPI in "MAKE A CHANGE". I like this colour because its vibrant and vivid! Want to try a colour from Nicole by OPI? then try it on. 

Next are a series of eye makeup:

I wore this pretty aqua shadow to work one night. Everyone complimented me on the intensity of the colour. And could not believe the colours I used. it looks similar to my black sea look because I used some of the same products. I did not use black on this though

This is two coats of Anna Sui 004 nail polish. I am not usually a fan of glittery nail polish but this one has grown on me. I think the reason I like this polish so much too is that it has a sweet rose smell to it.

What do you think of this colour? Would you wear it? Do you like glitter?

NOTD-LeoParD.PriNt.

My nail of the day was inspired by the lovely spots of a leopard. I used OPI top coat and my Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Gold and Black. I first applied one coat of OPI top coat on the whole nail and then Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Gold in random shapes all over the nail and then drew Black disconnected lines around the Gold. Then two coats of OPI top coat. I will do a review on the nail art pens soon! My nails are short because I removed my fake nails recentIy, therefore they are in the healing/growing stage. I think this print is cute on short nails. Forgive me if this is not done well, as this is my first time trying it!
