FriEnds.With.BenEfits...

...NO! not those kind of benefits...haha.
Today I went to a local beauty supply store and scored some wicked deals. I guess that's one benefit of being in the industry. I found China Glaze Crackle polishes for $5.25CAD(regularly $9.95CAD). I picked up some for my friend and actually one, the black  for myself.
I only picked up the black one for myself because I was not sure if I really would like the crackle polish on myself.
I also picked up some cute lashes. They were only $3.99 and $2.99. I am wanting to do a tutorial very soon using them both.

Have you tried the China Glaze crackle polishes? What did you think of them?

Did you know? Crackle polishes have been out for longer then you probably knew. Covergirl released crackle polishes in 2000.

Job Haul

As someone who works in the cosmetics industry, I am constantly attending schools, seminars and receiving free products to try out. Recently I have received quite a bit to try out. Check them out, if you have tried them, I'd love to hear what you thought of them.
First off is the whole line of Nexxus Promend hair products that help to mend existing split ends. I'll try this out and review it for sure. So far, so good.

Secondly I attended a Clarins school and received a few new products that will be launching this year.

Next up is the new fragrance from Escada, Taj Sunset. MMMmmmm. love it!

And lastly is the new Nair Ultra Precision facial hair/eyebrow roll on wax. Don't know if I'll use this one.... we'll see. Apparently the wax is washable!

Mini Nail Haul and NOTD: ESSIE: Neo Whimsical Lilacism

So today I wento London Drugs(a drugstore here in Western Canada and Canada wide online) and picked up a few items. Funnily, all for nails! Check them out:
First I picked up two more colours of the Sally Hansen nail art pens. I had picked some up a while ago and liked them. Plus they were on sale from $8.99CAD to $3.49CAD each.... what a steal! They are super easy to use.

Next I picked up Seche Vite Dry Fastop coat. I seriously have never tried this one. I initially went in for my OPI top coat, however after seeing it on many many blogs, I couldn't resisto try it. I have it on my nails now, and am quite impressed so far. $9.99CAD

I picked up the Fran Wilson Nail tees because I always paint a little polish on my fingers. And thought I would give them a try. $3.49CAD
Next is my NOTD. I used two Essie polishes, and just alternated colours for each nail. They are both pastel colours and I thought it would be cute to do. I used three coats of each polish(Neo Whimsical and Lilacism) on each nail and one coat of Seche Vite top coat. Check them out:

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

New additions to my ring collection...from Forever 21

So yesterday I bought some new rings to add to my ring collection(click to see the rest).. I bought them both from Forever 21(XXI)..... take a look.
The butterfly ring
This lovely addition was purchased for only $5.60CAD from Forever 21. I was immediately drawn to this one as I absolutely adore butterflies. Sadly however I only got to enjoy this one for one hour as it broke! oh no! and of course XXI's does not return or exchange jewellery..... well I went back and asked and luckily I was able to exchange it. I didn't want to get the same one as I was scared that it would break again. So I exchanged it for some hair flower accessories and a nail polish. I'll post about them soon.

The sleepy jewelled bird ring
hehe I love the name I gave this one. He looks like he is sleeping on my finger. I really like this one. it is super sturdy and does not seem like it will break like the other one. It was $11.80CAD from Forever 21.

What do you think of these? Do you like them?
Have you tried to exchange something at Forever 21? What was your experience?

Training Haul >> CoverFX..La Roche Posay..NUXE

If you follow me regularly, you will know that I work in the cosmetics industry. And as a part of my job I often attend training seminars. These seminars are meant to educate us on what's new in the industry and on current products. I love to attend the seminars because I love to learn all about the technologies and ingredients of products. As an added perk, we receive free product to try. I mean how else are we going to sell something unless we try it! So the other day I wento the NUXE and CoverFX seminars.....why do I have La Roche posay products too? Well my lovely friend decided to give me two products she received from the seminar! SWEET!
Here's a list of what I got:
From CoverFX >> Eye prepfx, Skin Prep Primer, Concelfx concealer
From La Roche Posay >> Physiological Shower Gel, Hydraphase Intense Light moisturizer
From NUXE >> 24hr Moisturizing Anti fatigue Concentrate(Serum) Reve de Miel Hand and nail cream

So my questions are... have you tried any of these? What did you think of them? If not.... do you want a review of any of them?

Mini.Smashbox.and.biothErm.HAUL...

Well hello lovelies,
How was your weekend? Mine was eventful. Went to an event celebrating 200 years of independence for Mexico(VIVA MEXICO!!) on friday and then took the party back to my place for some fun till 6am with some awesome people. Then I worked on Saturday and Sunday :( . And of course today...and then I did 3 hours of workout tonight...... oh I definitely will enjoy my day off tomorrow!
Anyways.... So I picked up a couple of items that were new to my store: the new Photo Finish Targeted Pore & Line Primer from Smashbox(yes we JUST received this here in Canada!) and the new Eye Makeup Removal Care - Lash condition & beauty from Biotherm. If you follow me, you probably read about these in sneak peeks a little while ago. So a little about each so far...
Smashbox Photo Finish targeted pore & line primer: So far, so good awesome! I love it. I have serious pores and I find this really helps! It also really helps with my shiny areas. Retails at $37CAD(I think!) Review to come!

Biotherm eye makeup removal care - lash condition & beauty(waterproof): Well after three days of using this I cannot say that I should expect to see a difference in my lash growth, HOWEVER! I do definitely love the texture.. normal waterproof eye makeup removers are too oily and sticky. I find this one is not. It feels like water! Retails at $32CAD. Review to come!

Have you tried either of these?! What did you think? Do you want to try these?

Mini.MaybeLLine.HauL.aNd.cLothinG.HauL.

For a while now I have been curious about these products, but never got around to buying them. However the other day they were all on sale for $4.99CDN each so I jumped on the opportunity. The products were all from Maybelline: Dream liquid mousse foundation in Medium 2.5 Natural beige(sorry I know the pic says 3.5!!! but it's 2.5), Lash Stiletto voluptuous mascara in 981 very black waterproof and Line Stiletto Ultimate Precise liquid eyeliner in 501 Blackest black. I wore all of them today and and quite impressed so far. The mascara reminds me of Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara and the liner like Lancome's Artliner. Reviews will definitely be coming soon. HAVE ANY OF YOU TRIED THESE? WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THEM?

I love wearing summer dresses and when I saw this one I fell in love! I didn't care that I couldn't try it on. It is very "asian" style with the little lacy slip underneath. I bought it at the night market here in Vancouver for only $20CDN! What a steal! What do you think of this dress? cute? Oh btw, for those who care to know necklace is from Forever 21, bought it there last year in the Hollywood Boulevard location.
